The Peterborough City Soccer Camp is owned and operated by the City of Peterborough Recreation Division. This program is one of many Summer Instructional Sport Programs offered during the summer months by the Recreation Division.
The Peterborough City Soccer Club provides instruction for the summer soccer camp, and has for many years. The P.C.S.C has qualified coaches and instructors who can inspire a love of the sport while instilling excellence in youth participants.
Mission Statement
The camp welcomes players of all ages and skill levels in an atmosphere of total fun. The opportunity to learn and develop as young soccer players is our focus.
Camp Directors
Camp directors Dave Mitchell and Tobi Ryan are committed to providing campers with quality instruction and a fun filled week of soccer. Their enthusiasm and positive attitudes, enhanced by their playing and coaching backgrounds, will help make sure that each participant leaves camp a better soccer player. They will focus on the fundamentals of soccer through fun activities and small sided games.
Dave Mitchell is currently coaching the Sir Sandford Fleming Women's team. He played on several national and provincial winning teams. Dave has been a member of the Peterborough City Soccer Camp staff for many years.
Tobi Ryan is an elementary school teacher with the Peterborough, Northumberland, Clarington Catholic District School Board. He brings to the camp a great deal of knowledge and experience in athletics and teamwork. Tobi has been a coach at the Peterborough City Youth Soccer Camp for three years.
Camp Staff
Camp instructors are knowledgeable, enthusiatic, skilled and qualified in the game of soccer. Staff is comprised of Local Representative players and coaches, University and College players and coaches, former NCAA players and Semi-professionals.

Eastgate Park (Mark Forster Pitch) - Located on Ashburnham Drive.
Hours
- Half Days: 9am to 12pm (Micro Program Only)
- Full Days: 9am to 4pm
Drop off: 8:30am to 9:00am
Pick up: 4:00pm to 4:30pm
ALL DROP OFFS AND PICK UPS WILL BE AT EASTGATE PARK.
All Players Will Receive:
- A camp t-shirt
- A soccer ball
Daily Checklist
Required: Sunblock, hat, lunch, filled water bottle, socks, ball (provided), and smiles.
Gear: Rain suit/track suit, swim wear, proper footwear, shinguards.

Credit card registration can be provided over the phone at the Recreation phone number or through the Division's Touch Tone Phone Registration System at 742-7779. Internet registration is also available; this requires your family's Acccount information as well.

Micro Program. U5 - U6, Half Days, $80
Weeks/Course Codes: 1(15319), 2(15320), 3(15321), 4(15322), 5(15323)
A special program designed especially for 5 and 6 year olds. The program is based on fun activities that focus on the essential skills of soccer.
Mini Program. U7 - U9, Full Days, $115
Weeks/Course Codes: 1(15326), 2(15327), 3(15328), 4(15329), 5(15330)
This program for 7-9 year olds highlights the fundamentals of the game including dribbling, passing, control & receiving, defending, and shooting. These skills are then put into play in small-sided games.
Golden Boot Program. U10 - U11, Full Days, $115
Weeks/Course Codes: 1(15333), 2(15334), 3(15335), 4(15336), 5(15337)
This program reinforces and expands the essential soccer skills. Topics include heading, chest control, finishing, and combination play. These techniques are then applied in small-sided matches.
Youth Program. U12 - U16, Full Days, $115
Weeks/Course Codes: 1(15340), 2(15341), 3(15342), 4(15343), 5(15344)
The opportunity for players aged 12 and older to learn basic skills and be introduced to advanced techniques such as crossing, bending the ball, finishing, and beating opponents 1 on 1.
Goalkeeping Program. U9 - U18, Full Days, $145
Weeks/Course Codes: Weeks 1(15271) and 4(15272) only.
Goalkeeping specialists will cover important topics like handling, positioning and angling, footwork, reflexes, diving technique, and more. A must for players wanting to improve between the pipes.
Competitive Training. Full Days, $145
Weeks/Course Codes: Weeks 1(15269) and 4(15270) only.
This program focuses on working with development or rep teams highlighting "Team Play". Groups can be comprised of more than one team and teams may be mixed.
