Check the Tournament Rules laid out by the O.S.A The following additions will be in effect:
Age and Eligibility Accepted teams will consist of players born as of Jan 1 of the following years: U10 2000. U11 1999. U12 1998. U13 1997. U14 1996. U15 1995. U16 1994. U17 1993. U18 1992. Registration Validated and current OSA Player Books must be available upon request, throughout the tournament. Only those players registered with the team are eligible to play. (O.S.A. Rules). Three (3) guest players per team may play if they have a current OSA Player Book. If they are from the same club then a Temporary Registration Permit (T.R.P.) is not required. If they are from another club they must have a T.R.P. and it is to be submitted when the team registers prior to the tournament. All teams must have Travel Permits from their District Association. All teams must be covered by medical and liability insurance. When registering a team the team officials' current books must also be presented. Play Equipment The tournament organizing committee will be responsible for nets/corner flags. The home team in each game will be asked to supply a ball for the particular game. Should two teams have identical or similar colours, the home team will be asked to change into alternate jerseys Referees Referees will be assigned by the local branch of the OSA/OSRA. Referees coming with the out of town teams wishing to officiate in the tournament may have that opportunity. Contact Mike Smith (705)-876-8435. Bring your uniform and OSA/OSRA registration to the referees Headquarters at Eastgate Park. Because of the large number of games over the weekend, extra referees are always welcome. You will be paid accordingly. Defaulted Games A team will be allowed to play with a minimum of seven (7) players (minimum of five (5) for U10s and U11s). Should either team default a game, the opposing team will be awarded a 3-0 win, provided they have the appropriate number of players. Should both teams default both teams will be handed 0-3 losses. Duration of Games U10: 2 x 20 minutes. U11 and above: 2 x 25 minutes. Team play time shall not exceed the permitted time limit per day: - U10 and below: not to exceed 120 minutes per day
- U11 to U14: not to exceed 150 minutes per day
- U15 and above: not to exceed 180 minutes per day
There must be minimum of one hour between each game played by any team. Please Note: U10 teams will play 7 vs 7, U11s will play 9 vs 9. Overtime There will be no overtime in preliminary games. In semi-final and final games, if the game is tied after regulation time, it will go to FIFA penalty kicks. Substitution There is no limit to the number of substitutions that may be made during a game. Substitutions may be made at any stoppage in play, subject to the discretion of the referee. - When a goal is scored
- At a goal kick
- On own throw ins
- For any injured player, at the referee's discretion
No substitution will be allowed for a player dismissed from the game by the referee for an offense under Law XII -- Fouls and Misconduct of the Laws of the Game. Gamesheets and Referee's Misconduct Reports The Tournament Host shall provide gamesheets which shall be completed by each team prior to each game, and which must be submitted to the referee prior to the kickoff. The referee shall sign the gamesheets and misconduct reports for each game which he officiates. The Tournament Host shall collect gamesheets and misconduct reports from the referees immediately after each game. All gamesheets and misconduct reports shall be forwarded by the Tournament Host to its District Association, or in the case of Provincial Leagues or Regional Leagues, to The Association, no later than 48 hours after the last day of the tournament. Protests Protests, which may only be made by a team coach or manager, must be in writing and delivered, with a minimum fee of $50.00 (cash), to the Tournament Chair or his/her designate within one hour of the end of the game in question. All disputes must be settled by the Tournament Chair or his/her designate. If the protest is successful the full amount will be refunded. The decision of the Tournament Host shall be final. Determining Final Standings 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss. Should two or more teams be tied at the end of preliminary play, the following rules will be used as a tie-breaker: - Record against team(s) with which you are tied. Note: If 3 or more teams are tied and they did not all have the opportunity to play each other then this will not be used.
- More games won during preliminary play.
- Goal Spread (Goals against subtracted from goals for).
- Least goals against.
- Most goals for.
- Goal average (Goals for divided by goals against).
- Penalty Kicks (FIFA).
Unsafe Conditions Should weather or some other factor affect any games the following will transpire at the discretion of the tournament committee: - Rescheduling OR,
- A game will be deemed complete if the first half has been completed. All attempts will be made to complete any game, if at all possible.
Red and Yellow Cards Should the Referee issue a yellow or red card, the following rules will apply: - 1 Yellow card in a game: Cautionary note to the player.
- 2 Yellow cards in a game: Immediate ejection. Next game suspension.
- 3 Yellow cards in the tournament: Automatic next game suspension.
- 1 Red card in a game: Immediate ejection and the player will not be allowed to play in the next game. (Minimum)
- 1 Red card in a game for serious foul play: Immediate ejection and the player will not be allowed to play in the next 2 (two) games.
- 1 Red card in a game for violent conduct: Immediate ejection and the player will not be allowed to play any more games in the tournament.
- 1 Red card will be given for "Using offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures" directed at the game official(s). 2 game suspension.
- 2 Red cards in the tournament: Player ejected from further tournament play.
Reports will be sent to the District Association following the tournament. Any further action will be up to the District Association. Registration All registration will be in the PCSA Marvin Buchan Soccer Centre, East Gate Park, Ashburnham Drive. Registration will be Friday night from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM or Saturday morning starting at 7:30 AM. at least 1 hour prior to your first game but no later then 11:00 AM.
