Check the Tournament Rules laid out by the O.S.A The following additions will be in effect:
Divisions The tournament will consist of 2 competitions: Ladies' Recreational and Men's Recreational Ladies' Division 3 groups of 4 teams. Each team will play 3 preliminary games. The top team in each group plus one wild card (second place team with the best record) advances to the semi-finals. The draw will be made following the preliminary games. Winners of the semi-final to advance to the final game. Men's Division A draw will pre-determine the pairings of the top teams. The draw for the semi-finals and finals will be pre-determined and posted at the fields at eastgate park and beavermead park. 8 groups of 4 teams. Each team will play 3 preliminary games. The top team in each group advances to the next round. Tie breaker rules will be used to decide first place. A draw will determine the pairings of the top teams. - More games won during preliminary play.
- Goal Spread (Goals against subtracted from goals for).
- Least goals against.
- Most goals for.
- Goal average (Goals for divided by goals against).
- Penalty Kicks (FIFA).
Games Preliminary games: 2 x 25 minutes. Win = 3 points, Tie = 1 point, Loss = 0 points. Quarter-/semi-finals and finals: 2 x 25 minutes. If tied, FIFA penalty kicks will be used to decide a winner. Players and Registration All players must be registered with your team and OSA, each team is allowed to add 3 registered players from another club to their team. OF THE 3 GUEST PLAYERS, ONLY 2 MAY BE REGISTERED PLAYERS FROM A COMPETITIVE TEAM. THIS MEANS THAT THERE CAN ONLY BE 4 COMPETITIVE PLAYERS PER TEAM AS LONG AS 2 WERE REGISTERED WITH THE TEAM PRIOR TO JULY 1, OF THE CURRENT OUTDOOR SEASON. All players must comply with OSA rules and have a validated player book in order to participate in the tournament. No exceptions will be allowed. A player playing for a team that they are not registered to, which is not part of the same club will require a temporary registration permit from your district. All teams must have a travel permit from their District Association and all players'teams must be covered by medical and liability insurance. On arrival you must register your player list with a maximum of eighteen (18) players. Registration is at Eastgate Park Friday night 7pm to 9 pm or Saturday morning 8 am to 10 am. You must register your team at least 30 minutes prior to the first game. Eighteen (18) players can dress for each game. Players may not play for more than one team. A game sheet with players names is required for each game. Only players identified on the Player Registration form may appear on the individual game sheet required for each game. This must be submitted to the referee 10 minutes prior to each game. Players/Officials under suspension at the date of the tournament are not eligible to participate in this tournament. Coach/Manager are responsible that their players/officials are eligible. Substitutions Substitutions at all goalkicks / goals scored, and on the team's own throw-ins. For an injured player, please notify the referee. All teams must use the team benches at the fields. Only the coach, manager, trainer, and a maximum of 7 subs will be allowed at the bench. Play Equipment: The home team in each game will be asked to supply a ball for that particular game. Should two teams have identical or similar colours, the home team is asked to change into alternate jerseys Referees will be asked to check for shinguards covered by stockings. Jerseys must be tucked inside the shorts. Goalkeepers may wear a cap. Referees Referees will be assigned by the local branch of the OSA/OSRA. All referees are registered with the OSA/OSRA. Defaulted Games: A team will be allowed to play with a minimum of seven (7) players. Should either team default a game, the opposing team will be awarded a 3-0 win. Red and Yellow Cards Should the Referee issue a yellow or red card, the following rules will apply: - 1 Yellow card in a game: Cautionary note to the player.
- 2 Yellow cards in a game: Immediate ejection. Next game suspension.
- 3 Yellow cards in the tournament: Automatic next game suspension.
- 1 Red card in a game: Immediate ejection and next game suspension.
- 2 Red cards in the tournament: Player ejected from further tournament play.
Players sent off the field, must leave the bench and go away from the field. Reports will be sent to the District Association following the tournament. Further action will be up to the District Association. Liability The organizers of this tournament will not be responsible for any claims or actions of any nature whatsoever which may arise in any way out of the execution of this tournament in the event of injury to participants. All players and officials taking part will do so at their own risk. Club officials will therefore make sure that all of their respective participants are informed. The organizers of this tournament reserve the right to change the format of the tournament due to unforeseeable circumstances. Protests All protests shall be dealt with by the Tournament Committee, the decision of the committee shall be final and binding on all parties. All protests must be submitted in writing to the tournament chairman. All protests must be accompanied with the protest fee of $50 in cash. Any protest which is not submitted in compliance with the foregoing will be ruled out of order and the protest will not be accepted. In the event that the protest is upheld, the protest fee will be returned. If the protest is denied, the protest fee will be forfeited. A protest must be received within one hour after the end of the game. |
