Selection of players for next year’s U9 – U18 Girls and Boys teams as well as U21 and Senior Women’s and Men’s teams takes place following open tryouts at the end of September. Orientation days for players interested in the U7 – U8 Grassroots Program are held at the same time.
Tryouts and orientation for 2025 teams were held on 21- 23 September, 2024 and are now concluded.
What Happens After Tryouts?
When orientation/tryouts are over, your main source of information will be the head coach of your age division. If you need additional information about the selection process you should contact the Director of Coaching.
The playing season runs from mid-May to August or early-September. Indoor and outdoor training, development and conditioning sessions take place over a much longer period, depending on the age division. The optional Enhanced Technical Training program runs from October to March. It focuses on fundamental soccer skills (first touch, passing, receiving, dribbling and shooting), gives you lots of touches on the ball and provides opportunities for development that are in addition to your regular team training.

What do I do if I missed the tryouts in September?
For U7 – U18 teams you can contact the PCSA Director of Coaching by email to ask whether there is any space available in your child’s age division. Final tryouts for U21 and Senior teams will be held in the spring.
