Peterborough City U15 Girls Gold secured 1st place in the U15/16 Tier 1 division of the Durham Region Soccer League following a 2 – 0 win over 2nd place North Durham United on Thursday (Sept 7). Their overall season record was 13 wins, 1 tie and only 1 loss. Teamwork was the key to success, said head coach Richard Bergman, given that their tally of 62 goals was spread among 14 different players. Goalkeeper Alana S. earned 8 shutouts.
In addition to their success in the DRSL, the girls came first in the Peterborough Challenge Cup as well as the Cameron Memorial Tournament in Quinte West (for the second year running).
Congratulations to the entire team on an incredible season!
