PCSA is one of only 44 clubs in Ontario that have been accredited as a Quality Soccer Provider by Canada Soccer as part of its National Youth Club Licensing Program. To attain the designation of a QSP member, organizations must create an environment that is developmentally suitable, safe, enjoyable, easily accessible, inclusive, and inviting for players and families, which sets their programs apart from non-affiliated soccer activities and informal play. Furthermore, QSPs are obligated to maintain good standing with their governing bodies and adhere to the criteria set forth for membership.
Currently PCSA is the only club in the District to have earned this distinction. “We recognize the efforts of our coaches, managers, board members and other volunteers, who together have had the vision and diligence to see this through”, said PCSA president Dan Moore. “While we appreciate the recognition, we see it only as a first step in incrementally improving our program, balancing ambition with community spirit and inclusion.”
