We decided to have a little “in-club” contest to add to the enjoyment and spirit of Family Fun Day (August 18). The organizers came up with “Heart of City” for the team that had the most players attend the event.
This year’s “Heart of City” award goes to the U9 Boys team! This award recognizes the team that demonstrates the most enthusiasm and club spirit during the Family Fun Day activities. The U9 Boys not only attended but also participated wholeheartedly in every event, even volunteering to be the “dunkees” in the Dunk Tank!
Coached by Lynsey T., Tasneem B., and Adriano P., the team is made up of 26 players. This was their first season playing in the DRSL grassroots league, and they made it a memorable one.
