Peterborough Festival & Challenge Cup 2017

The Peterborough City Soccer Association congratulates all participants in the Peterborough City Festival and Challenge Cup Tournament for Girls (June 3/4) and Boys (June 17/18). A total of 74 Girls teams and 89 boys teams participated over the two weekends.

Volunteer of the Year – Sonja Patel

The 2016 PCSA Volunteer of the Year is Sonja Patel. Sonja has been the manager of the 1999 Boys team for 10 years. She is often seen with her team volunteering at club activities such as tournaments, BBQ’s, Pink-at-the-Pitch (fundraiser for cancer research), spring clean-up days, player registrations and more. U14 Boys Win Gold at Woolwich

PCSA U14 (2002) Boys Maroon won all four games, including a 3 – 1 win over their hosts Woolwich Wolfpack in the final, to take first place at the Woolwich Invitational Tournament on August 6/7. The team is coached by Craig Smith, Jason Hawkins and Malcolm D’Souza.

Peterborough Festival & Challenge Cup 2016

The Peterborough City Soccer Association congratulates all participants in the Peterborough City Festival and Challenge Cup Tournament for Girls (June 4/5) and Boys (June 18/19). A record total of 86 Girls teams and 100 boys teams participated over the two weekends.

U17 Boys Three-peat in Ottawa

For the third successive year, our U17 (1999) Boys finished in first place at the Ottawa Icebreaker Tournament on June 4/5. The won six of their seven games, including a 1 – 0 win over Kingston Clippers Fury in the final. The team is coached by Biren Patel and Rick Orton.

Thanks for doing our laundry

Fab Caravaggio of Rocky’s Cleaners was kind enough to clean all clothing items that were in the lost and found (2 large garbage bags full) so that they can be donated to local shelters, and he did it free of charge. Way to go, Fab!

Coaching Certification

Eight Peterborough City coaches were among the 30 participants from all across Ontario who completed the 4-day Provincial C-licence course at Eastgate Park. The OSA course instructors remarked on the fabulous facilities and equipment provided, in particular the close proximity of playing fields and meeting room (the clubhouse).
