Peterborough City Girls and Boys have been successful recently in tournament play at several venues. The U15 Girls picked up gold at the Ottawa Showcase of Champions, which is one of the most competitive tournaments in Canada. They tied Glen Shields and beat Gloucester Hornets and Fundy FC to advance to the Championship game against Ontario #2-ranked Pickering Power Green. Peterborough defeated Pickering by a 2 – 1 margin after two periods of extra time to capture the gold medals.
Peterborough City U16 Girls defeated Whitby Iroquois by a score of 5-0 to take 1st place in the U17 Girls Division at the Cameron Memorial Tournament in Trenton. They had four wins without conceding any goals.
The U13 Boys White team came oh so close in the U13 Boys Division in Trenton. They had three shutout wins leading up to the Championship game against Northumberland United which they lost by a score of 3 – 1 and had to settle for silver.
