The Peterborough City U12 Boys Maroon team won the CESL Cup in their age division when they defeated Pickering Power Green on Saturday in the cup final game in Uxbridge. The game was tied 3 – 3 after regulation time and Peterborough prevailed in the penalty shootout.
Peterborough defeated Kawartha Inferno, Oshawa Turul and North Scarborough in earlier rounds of the competition. The team is coached by Bruce Rowe and Brian Horton with manager Craig Muir.
