Peterborough City was represented by four teams at the Ottawa Gloucester Invitational Soccer Tournament on the weekend (August 12-13). The U13 Maroon team and the U14 Maroon team returned with gold medals.
The U13 Girls Maroon were undefeated over 4 games. They went 2-0-1 in the round robin and went on to defeat West Ottawa by a score of 1 – 0 in the Championship game. The U13 Girls White team were 1-2-0 in their three round-robin games.
The U14 Girls Maroon team took top honours in the U14 competition. They topped their pool going 2-0-1 in round robin play. They defeated Scarborough Storm 4 – 0 in the semifinal and then won the Championship game with a 3 – 1 score against the Puslinch Predators (Guelph). The U14 Girls White team finished third in their division with a record of 1-2-1.
