Ages 12 to adult are the golden years for player development. Athletes in the U13-U18 divisions hone their technical and tactical skills in our Soccer for Life youth competitive program. This program is geared to the player who is driven and motivated to progress in soccer and is prepared to dedicate more time through training to compete at a high level.
Peterborough City rep teams compete on a home and away basis in District leagues (e.g. DRSL) and Regional leagues (e.g. IModel) against teams from the Toronto, York, Durham and Peterborough areas.
In addition to their regular league games, most teams play in three tournaments during the summer, one of which is the Peterborough Challenge held in June each year. The other two tournaments would likely be out of town.
Although the outdoor playing season runs from May to September, training sessions in the fall, winter and spring are an integral part of the program. Most teams train one or two day per week during the off-season. During the playing season teams usually have two training sessions and one game per week.
Tryouts for competitive age divisions (U13 to U18) are held in September for the following year’s teams. There is no cost to attend tryouts and new players are welcome. Please refer to the Tryouts page for more information.
